The College maintains multiple research centers to establish an environment of cooperation with industry.
The Social Enterprise Research Center (SERC) were founded in December, 2009, aiming to devote to the core value of Catholicism. Concurrently the Taiwan Social Enterprise innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (SEIES) was founded together with like-minded individuals from academia and industry. The SERC focuses on academic research of social entrepreneurship, while the SEIES applies the research insights to coach startups with social objectives, new social enterprises, and minority-owned businesses. The SERS and the SEIES will continue to create synergy between academic research and social impacts via research and services.
Cloud Service Research Center
The Cloud Service Research Center (CSRC) was founded by Trend Micro in September, 2010. The mission of the Center is to develop, educate and research in the area of cloud services and technology. The CSRC in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) established the first Cloud Innovation School in the northern metropolis of Taiwan to develop cloud computing talent, keep pace with the tech trends, and enhance the nation's competitiveness in the world's technology industry. The director of CSRC was selected as inaugural AWS Educate Cloud Ambassador Council member (only 18 members were selected in the world) and the Expert of WorldSkills in Cloud Computing on behalf of Taiwan.
Service Design Research center
The Service Design Research Center (SDRC) was founded in May, 2019. The mission of the center includes: (1) enhancing the human-centric service; (2) implementing the value co-creation in the era of experience economy; and (3) promoting the concept and methods of service design. To fulfill the mission, SDRC will bridge Fu Jen Catholic University and industries via industry-university cooperative research projects. Furthermore, the center will support service design courses and conduct service design workshops in the future.
Center for Sustainable Development and Management
The center for sustainability development and management was founded in August, 2022. It has been dedicated to cross-disciplinary connection and co-creation between teachers and students. It continues to pay attention to five issues of “Climate Change”, “Corporate Sustainability”, “Sustainable Energy”, “Health and Sustainability”, “Social Innovation” and engage in promoting and practicing sustainability development goals (SDGs) via education, training programs, industry-university cooperation, and academic research. With the hope of knowledge sharing and action integration from the practice, academia, and government. It seeks to help construct sustainability capability for the industry and the university and exert social impact of Catholic schools.
